Employment Agreement - Latasha Greer-Adewale, PKZ Academic Coordinator (Part Time)
Summary:
On December 9th, the Orlando City Council approved the realignment of existing fiscal resources within the Families, Parks and Recreation Department to create contract positions that wold enhance the Department's capacity to serve children via Parramore Kidz Zone (PKZ).
 
One such position is the PKZ Academic Coordinator, designed to develop, coordinate and oversee all PKZ services aimed at supporting the academic success of youth.  The primary goal is to increase the number of Parramore youth who successfully transition from middle school to high school, graduate from high school, and achieve post-secondary credentials that will enhance their future employment and income prospects.
 
This City Council agenda item provides approval for the Department to contract with Latasha Greer-Adewale (see resume attached) to servce in the capacity of the PKZ Academic Coordinator on a part time basis through the remainder of the 2013-2014 fiscal year.

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached Employment Agreement with Erika Ransom and authorize signature by the Mayor/Mayor Pro Tem and City Clerk, subject to satisfactory review by the City Attorney's Office.
