SunRail Voluntary Cooperation Mutual Aid Agreement
Summary:
The SunRail commuter rail system, when fully completed, will connect DeLand in Volusia County to Poinciana in Osceola County.  The law enforcement agencies located along this SunRail line are entering into this agreement to allow each of the agencies to request or agree to render law enforcement assistance to the other law enforcement agencies in emergencies.  Each of the agencies may request and render voluntary cooperation and assistance of a routine law enforcement nature across jurisdictional lines.
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: No costs, however, each agency is required to bear their own expenses.
Recommended Action:
Approval of the Mutual Aid Agreement and authorization for execution of the Agreement by the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem and Chief of Police, subject to review by the City Attorney's Office.
