The attached ordinance will designate property generally located at the northeast corner of the intersection of State Road 417 and Moss Park Road, approximately 16.13 acres, as R-3B on the City’s official zoning map (Picerne-Moss Park). The property is currently undeveloped and is planned for multifamily development.
The petition for annexation was heard at the September 23, 2013 meeting. The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2013-00009) the GMP amendment to assign Residential Medium Intensity future land use designation and Subarea Policy S.40.3 (GMP2013-00022) and the initial zoning of R3-B to allow for up to 338 multi-family units (ZON2013-00023) on October 15, 2013. The subarea policy was amended thereafter and approved by the City Council on November 25, 2013. The first readings of the annexation ordinance (Ordinance #2013-78) and the GMP amendment (Ordinance #2013-
) were on December 16, 2013 and the first reading of this initial zoning ordinance (Ordinance No. 2013-79) was on April 28, 2014.
