Subject:
Amend the terms of the original Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the City of Orlando, executed on May 15, 2013, for improvements to Sligh Boulevard and Columbia Street.
Summary:

This Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) between the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and the City of Orlando designates funding for professional engineering and construction services for these two roadway segments. The proposed improvements include operational improvements at the intersections to accommodate existing bus routes and freight delivery.

The terms of the original Joint Participation Agreement, executed on May 15, 2013, are hereby amended as follows:

- The Department has authorized additional funds in the amount of $92,960.00 for the design phase of this project. The construction phase of this project will be reduced by $92,960.00 upon full execution of this amendment.

- This executed Amendment will serve as notice that the Total Maximum Limiting Amount for this agreement remains $4,033,440.00.

Except as hereby modified, amended or changed, all of the terms and conditions of said original Agreement thereto will remain in full force and effect.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data:

This Amendment is a redistribution of funds authorized in the JPA approved by City Council on May 15, 2013. No fiscal impact. 

Recommended Action:

Approval of the attached Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) Amendment between FDOT and the City of Orlando, and authorization for the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem to execute same, subject to review and approval by the Office of Legal Affairs.
