Subject:
FDOT City Deed and Resolution for Parcel 116.1R at Trotters Park for sidewalk construction.

Summary:
In 2007 the City sold to FDOT, right of way for the John Young Parkway extension along the southwestern boundary of Trotters Park.  More recently, FDOT determined a sidewalk connection from the John Young Parkway extension to the intersection of Lee Road and US Highway 441 is needed for the benefit of the public.

FDOT determined a 9,483 square foot unused portion of Trotters Park is needed, located in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Lee Road and US Highway 441; adjacent to the existing CSX railway and the newly constructed John Young Parkway extension (see attached right of way map).

FDOT requests the City to donate the sidewalk area. The deed effectively transfers on-going maintenance and liability of the area to FDOT.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data:
No Fiscal Impact.

Recommended Action:
Approval of City Deed and Resolution; authorize Mayor and City Clerk to execute both in substantially the form attached; all subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office.
