Summary:
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement provides access to a computerized system to law enforcement agencies to do criminal history checks and to access a variety of other criminal justice information. This access is limited to use by law enforcement and other criminal justice agencies for official purposes only.
There is no direct cost to the Orlando Police Department for access to this information except for existing equipment and personnel costs associated with the operation of the system.
This is a standardized agreement which the State requires all users of the system to enter into in order to access the information. |

Recommended Action:
Approval by the City Council to authorize the Chief of Police to execute the Criminal Justice User Agreement subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office. |
