The attached ordinance will rename Hartwell Ct. to Centerline Dr. The applicant is Heather Isaacs, with Tavistock Development, on behalf of Lake Nona Land Company.

Hartwell Ct. exists as a 28-ft. wide paved cul-de-sac within a 55-ft. wide right-of-way (R-O-W), with the northern end intersecting Laureate Blvd., east of the Orlando/Lake Nona VA Hospital. The existing cul-de-sac at the southerly end of Hartwell Ct. will be removed and the roadway extended south to tie into the proposed Centerline Dr. to tie into the Laureate Park Community Park, which is being developed to the south.

The Veterans Hospital administrator provided a letter of “no objection” to the proposed street name change. The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the Street Name Change on December 19, 2017, and the City Council approved those MPB minutes at the January 8, 2018 City Council meeting.

City Council approved the proposed street name change on 1^st reading at the January 22, 2018 City Council meeting.

Adopt the attached Ordinance No. 2018-6 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
