| | | | | | | | | Subject: | Waiver of City Fees for Greenwood Cemetery Burials | | Summary: | Orlando City Code Chapter 16 provides that the City shall sell burial spaces in Greenwood Cemetery for prices fixed by the City Council. City Council has previously set a price of $1500 per space for City of Orlando residents and $3000 for non-City residents. It is recommended that one space, as well as the opening and closing costs associated with burial ($595) be offered to the families of each of the 49 victims of the Pulse shooting on June 12, 2016 at no cost to the families. The spaces will be together in one section of Greenwood.
