Second Amendment to Florida Department of Environmental Protection Grant - Park of the Americas
Summary:

On May 12, 2014, the Orlando City Council approved and executed an Agreement with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (amended May 18, 2015) under the Recreational Trails Program, for a $75,000 grant to develop the Park of the Americas Recreational Trail . The project includes a 12' paved trail, outdoor exercise equipment and trail site amenities.

The Agreement must be amended to extend the Project Agreement to November 15, 2016. The additional time is needed to respond to new safety requirements for outdoor exercise equipment and to have the updated procurement package approved by the grantor.

Deliverables (construction) are to be completed by September 15, 2016. The attached project work plan has been adjusted. 
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: This amendment to the Agreement has no fiscal impact.
Recommended Action:
Approve the attached Second Amendment to DEP Agreement NO. T2B16 and authorize the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem to execute same, subject to review and approval of form and legality by the City Attorney Office and the Grants Development Supervisor.
