Summary:
The attached ordinance will annex property approximately 54.16 acres in size and generally located south of State Road 417, north of Tyson Rd, and east of Narcoossee Rd. The annexation is being requested in order to allow a mixed use development program of 350 multifamily dwelling units, 165,000 square feet of commercial/retail, 50,000 square feet of office, and 35,000 square feet of public/civic. The annexation will not create an enclave.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2015-00029) on February 16, 2016 in addition to a GMP amendment to assign the Urban Village future land use designation (GMP2015-00052), adoption of new subarea policy S.40.10 (GMP2015-00053) and initial zoning of PD, or Planned Development (ZON2015-00054) which are being submitted as separate agenda items. |
