Use of the Florida Sheriff's Association Contract with Kenworth of Central Florida for the purchase of two (2) Kenworth/Aquatech vacuum trucks, C16-0272

Summary:
The Fleet Management Division and Stormwater Division are requesting to utilize Florida Sheriff's Association Contract #15-13-0904 with Kenworth of Central Florida, of Orlando, Florida, for the purchase of two (2) 2016 Kenworth T880 bio-diesel cab and chassis trucks with Aquatech B-15 bodies in the total amount of $747,482.00.

These two bio-diesel vacuum trucks will replace two vacuum trucks currently in service and scheduled for replacement, furthering the City's Sustainability Initiative.  Kenworth of Central Florida is including $35,900.00 in discounts for a multiple truck order and is providing $53,500.00 in trade-in value for this purchase.

No City Certified M/WBE Suppliers are registered for this commodity.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to utilize Florida Sheriff's Association Contract #15-13-0904 and issue a Purchase Order to Kenworth of Central Florida, as indicated above, in the amount of $747,482.00.
