Amendment to Contract with SecurAmerica, LLC for Armed and Unarmed Security Guard Services at various City locations, RFP11-0035

Summary:

The Contract with SecurAmerica, LLC for armed and unarmed security guard services at various City locations expires on April 30, 2016. Parking Division is requesting approval to extend the current contract for an additional twelve (12) month period through April 30, 2017.  The estimated expenditure of the amendment is $1,200,000.00.

The Parking Division anticipates that the requirements and specifications for security guard services will be impacted by the new Parking Operations and Revenue Control System (PARCS) that is currently being evaluated.  

SecurAmerica, LLC will continue to support their original commitment of eighteen percent (18%) Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and six percent (6%) Woman Business Enterprise (WBE) participation as provided in their Proposal.

Recommended Action:

Approval and authorization for the Chief Procurement Officer to negotiate and execute a contract amendment with SecurAmerica, LLC as indicated above. The final negotiated contract amendment will be subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
