Use of City of Miami Contract with Signal Technology Enterprises, Inc. for the Upfit of City Vehicles, C16-0219

Summary:

The Fleet Management Division is requesting to utilize City of Miami Contract #516388, with Signal Technology Enterprises, Inc., of Hialeah, Florida for the purchase and installation of specialized vehicle equipment (upfit) on public safety vehicles and specialized commercial type vehicles utilized by various City Divisions.

The current contract term is effective through January 24, 2018 with the option to renew for three (3) additional one (1) year terms.  This is an indefinite quantity contract.  Actual expenditures will vary as usage will be based on an as-needed basis at the established unit prices and available funding.  Based on prior usage reports and information provided by the primary user, the estimated annual expenditure is $650,000.00.

No City Certified M/WBE suppliers are registered for these goods and services.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to utilize City of Miami Contract #516388, with Signal Technology Enterprises, Inc., and subsequent renewals, as indicated above, in the estimated annual amount of $650,000.00.
