Summary:
The Capital Improvements & Infrastructure Development Division is responsible for providing construction management and inspection services for City infrastructure projects. Current full time staff members are fully committed to projects already under construction. An additional $10 million worth of upcoming construction projects will require staffing for inspection services on a short term (2 year) basis. It is more productive to create additional City contract Construction Inspector positions in lieu of using more costly outside consultants. Mr. Wilder will fill one Construction Inspector position. These positions are included and funded in the FY 15/16, FY 16/17and FY 17/18 budgets as full-time, contract positions. This agreement is for a two-year period, beginning on or about March 14, 2016 and ending on or about March 13, 2018. |

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Mayor to execute the subject agreement with Ryan Wilder, Construction Inspector I as noted above and subject to review and approval of the City Attorney's Office. |
