Summary:
The attached ordinance will rezone +/12.94 acres of property generally located north of W. Livingston St., south of W. Amelia St., and west of N. Parramore Ave. The ordinance will assign Public Use (P) zoning with Traditional City (/T) and Parramore Heritage (/PH) overlays to allow the development of a new +/-329,985 sq. ft. PS-8 school with on-site clinic and Boys and Girls Club.
The Municipal Planning Board (MPB) recommended approval of the Parramore School Growth Management Plan amendment (GMP2015-00040) to Public, Recreational and Institutional future land use and the associated shifting of Future Land Use Subarea Policy S.6.1, as well as the rezoning (ZON2015-00034) on October 20, 2015.
Municipal Planning Board’s recommendation was approved by City Council on November 16, 2015. The GMP amendment is included in the 2016 winter cycle of amendments, which had its first reading on December 14, 2015. The adoption ordinance is scheduled for March 14, 2016.
The second reading/hearing of this rezoning ordinance will follow the effective date of the 2016 Winter Cycle of GMP amendments. |
