Summary:

The undeveloped +/-36.34 acre subject property is generally located south of Lake Margaret Drive, north of Gatlin Avenue and west of Dixie Belle Drive. Proposed is a rezoning from "No City Zoning" with the Aircraft Noise Overlay (/AN) to Public Use (P)/AN for the expansion of Barber Park, a public recreational amenity.

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval on November 17, 2015 (ZON2015-00035).

The adoption ordinance is scheduled for February 29, 2016.

Recommended Action:
Approve the attached ordinance number 2016-15 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next City Council meeting.
