Ordinance No.2016-8 Annexing, Designating the Property as Industrial Future Land Use and Industrial-General Zoning and which is generally located North of Old Winter Garden Rd., East of Ferguson Dr., South of W. Colonial Dr., and West of Haralson Ave. (447 DeLeon Ave.; Economic Development).
Summary:

The attached ordinance will annex, assign future land use and zoning to property generally located north of Old Winter Garden Road, south of W. Colonial Drive, east of Ferguson Drive and west of Haralson Avenue and is addressed as 447 De Leon Avenue (PID: 28-22-29-6292-02-021). The +/-0.42 ac. site is undeveloped. Annexation is being requested in order to incorporate under the same jurisdiction,  this property which is under common ownership with the larger +/-3.94 ac. Ewing Irrigation site to allow future subdivision.

On October 20, 2015, the Municipal Planning Board (MPB) recommended approval of annexation (ANX2015-00014), the GMP amendment to assign Industrial future land use designation (GMP2015-00030), and associated designation of I-G (General-Industrial) zoning (ZON2015-00027).

The second reading/hearing/adoption is scheduled for February 29, 2016.

Recommended Action:

Approve the attached ordinance number 2016-8 on first reading and request that the Mayor and the City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the February 29, 2016 City Council meeting.
