Ordinance No. 2016-12 Annexing, Assigning the Residential Low Intensity Future Land Use and R-2A/T Zoning District for property located at 1931 S. Fern Creek Ave. (Economic Development)

Summary:

The subject property is located at 1931 S. Fern Creek Ave., which is south of E. Kaley Street, east of S. Fern Creek Avenue, and north of E. Harding Street and is approximately 0.15 acres. Annexation, GMP amendment and initial zoning are being requested in order to develop a residential duplex.

 

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2015-00024) the GMP amendment to assign Residential Low Intensity and future land use designation (GMP2015-00045) and the initial zoning of R2-A/T (ZON2015-00040) on November 17, 2015. 

 

The adoption ordinance is scheduled for February 8, 2016.

Recommended Action:

Approve the attached ordinance number 2016-12 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next City Council Meeting.
