Summary:
The attached ordinance will annex property at 6933 Curry Ford Road as well as assign the future land use designation. The property is located north of Curry Ford Road, east and south of Camellia Garden Drive, and west of Colton Drive and is approximately 44.74 acres. The annexation is being requested in order to develop a single family development. The subject property is contiguous to the City limits and is reasonably compact. If annexed, the property will not create an enclave.
The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the annexation (ANX2015-00006), the GMP amendment to assign Residential Low Intensity future land use designation (GMP2015-00008) on April 21, 2015. The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the planned development zoning (ZON2015-00006) on November 17, 2015. The applicant proposes to develop a single family subdivision.
The ordinance for the annexation and GMP was heard by the City Council for its transmittal hearing on July 27, 2015 and has undergone the state review through the Florida Department of Economic Development – Community Planning Division. |
