The attached ordinance includes the Winter cycle of GMP amendments for the 2016 calendar year. A summary of the proposed amendments is attached.
· GMP2014-00021, Narcoossee Road/Lake Whippoorwill Subarea Policy - Add Future Land Use Element Subarea Policy S.40.6, to the Narcoossee Road/Lake Whippoorwill area to provide planning direction to the area in case the parcel owners decide to annex into the City of Orlando.
· GMP2015-00011, Airport Acres Subarea Policy - GMP amendment to delete Future Land Use Subarea Policy S.32.1.
· GMP2015-00015, Tyson Corner II - GMP amendment to assign the Urban Village future land use designation. The property generally located east of Narcoossee Road, north of Tyson Road and south of Lake Whippoorwill and consists of approximately 43 acres. (District 1)
· GMP2015-00016, Tyson Corner II Subarea Policy - Create GMP Future Land Use Subarea Policy S.40.7 to include subject property into the Southeast Orlando Sector Plan.
· GMP2015-00025, Complete Streets - Amend Transportation Element to add new goals, objectives and policies for Complete Streets.
· GMP2015-00033, Blackfin Shoppes - GMP amendment to assign the Urban Village and Conservation future land use designation. The property generally located west of Narcoossee Road, north of Tavistock Lakes Boulevard, and south of Tyson Road and consists of approximately 14.63 acres. (District 1)
· GMP2015-00034, Blackfin Shoppes Subarea Policy - Amend Future Land Use Subarea Policy S.35.4 to add subject property into the Southeast Orlando Sector Plan.
· GMP2015-00038, Starwood - GMP amendment to assign the Office Low Intensity, Community Activity Center, Industrial and Conservation future land use designations. The property generally located south of the Beachline Expressway (SR 528), east of the Central Florida Greeneway (SR 417) and north of Wewahootee Road and consists of approximately 2,559 acres.
· GMP2015-00039, Starwood Subarea Policy - Create GMP Future Land Use Subarea Policy S.40.8 to reflect the new development program that will consist of approximately 6,400 residential units, 145,000 square feet of office, 150,000 square feet of retail and 145,000 square feet of industrial use.
· GMP2015-00040, Parramore School K-8 - GMP amendment to change the future land use designations from Industrial, Residential Low Intensity and Mixed Use Corridor Medium Intensity, to Public, Recreational, and Institutional. Also, shift the Future Land Use Subarea Policy S.6.1 to exclude the subject site. The property generally located north of W. Livingston Street, south of W. Amelia Street, east of N. Westmoreland Drive, and west of N. Parramore Avenue and is approximately 12.94 acres. (District 5)
· GMP2015-00041, Future Land Use Clarifications - Amend Future Land Use Element Policy 2.4.5 to allow clustering of density for a master plan. Amend Future Land Use Element Objectives 2.1 & 2.2 to provide a required mix of uses for activity centers and mixed use corridors. |
