Petition for Voluntary Annexation – 1931 S. Fern Creek Ave. (ANX2015-00024)

Summary:

The applicant has requested the voluntary annexation of ±0.15 acres of property located south of E. Kaley Street, east of S. Fern Creek Avenue, and north of E. Harding Street.  It is addressed as 1931 S. Fern Creek Ave. The Orange County future land use designation for this property is Low-Medium Density Residential. The County zoning is R-2. The applicant has requested a future land use designation of Residential Low Intensity and an initial zoning of R-2A/T.

 

The proposed annexation will allow for the development of a residential duplex. The subject property is contiguous to the City limits. If annexed, the property will not create an enclave.


Fiscal & Efficiency Data:

The fiscal impact statement will be submitted with the ordinance for the annexation, pending City Council's acceptance of this petition for annexation.


Recommended Action:

Direct the City Attorney to prepare an annexation ordinance for consideration by City Council and authorize staff to initiate a Growth Management Plan (GMP) amendment and initial zoning for the subject property.
