Summary:

The attached ordinance will amend the Growth Management Plan by changing the future land use designation from Residential Low Intensity to Mixed Use Corridor – Medium Intensity and rezoning from R-2A/T/SP to MU-1/T/SP for approximately 0.34 acres located north of E. Grant Street, east of S. Orange Avenue, and west of Delaney Avenue.

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the GMP amendment and Rezoning (Case #GMP2015-00017 & ZON2015-00011) on June 16, 2015.  These amendments will allow for a retail development.  

The first reading for this ordinance was on the September 21, 2015 City Council agenda.

Recommended Action:
Adopt the attached ordinance number 2015-43 and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk or Mayor Pro Tempore and City Clerk to execute on behalf of the City upon final review and approval by the City Attorney.
