Summary:
The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) has designated the City of Orlando to act as recipient and administrator of HOPWA funding for the area of Orange, Seminole, Osceola, and Lake Counties, which is referred to as the Orlando Eligible Metropolitan Statistical Area (EMSA). The City of Orlando administers the HOPWA Program, which contracts with eligible service providers for the distribution of funds according to HUD regulations.
On July 27, 2015, City Council approved, as part of the FY 2015 Annual Action Plan, a request from St. Francis House of Hospitality for HOPWA funding in the amount of $128,400. St. Francis House of Hospitality will use this funding to provide HOPWA housing assistance services to eligible low-income persons with AIDS or related diseases who reside in the Orlando EMSA.
Under the terms and conditions of this Agreement, the City agrees to reimburse St. Francis House of Hospitality the sum of One Hundred Twenty Eight Thousand Four Hundred Dollars and No cents ($128,400) in HOPWA funds for eligible housing assistance services. This allocation will be distributed among two service categories: $120,000 to Facility Based Operating costs and $8,400 for Agency Administration. |
