Amendment to CDBG Funding Agreement between the City of Orlando and Housing and Neigborhood Development Services of Central Florida (HANDS)
Summary:

On November 3, 2014, City Council approved an agreement between the City of Orlando and Housing and Neighborhood Development Services of Central Florida, Inc. (HANDS) for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding in the amount of $50,025.   HANDS has expended all $50,025 and has provided pre-purchase and mortgage default housing counseling to 53 low and moderate income households in the City of Orlando. HANDS has requested $15,000 of additional CDBG funding to serve additional clients.  The Housing and Community Development Department supports this request and is seeking City Council’s approval and authorization to amend the November 3rd agreement to provide $15,000 in additional CDBG funds to HANDS to serve an additional 15 to 20 clients during this fiscal year.

Funding for this request is being reallocated from unexpended CDBG funds from the PY2014/2015 allocation.

Approve and authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the amended agreement with HANDS to provide additional CDBG funding in the amount of $15,000 to serve additional clients this fiscal year.
