FDOT Airspace Agreement for Colonial Pedestrian Overpass

Summary:
The airspace lease agreement sets the terms and conditions that will provide the City of Orlando the location to construct the Colonial Pedestrian Overpass, which  is a critical connection to the Orlando Urban Trail System. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is providing to the City the I-4 right-of-way for Pond 15, the air rights to span over State Road 50, and the air rights to span over the Central Florida Commuter Rail Corridor. The agreement sets the requirements to work within the rail corridor, sets the requirements for the City to maintain the adjacent pond, and sets the requirements for the final as-built survey for the bridge construction project.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: See the Fiscal Impact Statement.

Recommended Action:
Authorize the Mayor or Mayor Pro Tem, and the City Clerk to approve and execute the airspace agreement subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office.
