The Procurement and Contracts Division and Code Enforcement Division have evaluated these bids and recommend award to the lowest, responsive and responsible bidder, EKG Enterprises, Inc., for the demolition of residential and commercial structures as required.

The initial contract term is one (1) year with an option to renew for four (4) additional one (1) year terms.  This is an indefinite quantity contract.  Actual expenditures will vary as usage will be on an as-needed basis at the established unit prices and available funding.  Based on prior usage reports and information provided by the primary user, the estimated annual expenditure is $282,000.00.

No City Certified M/WE suppliers responded to this solicitation.


Fiscal & Efficiency Data:

Contract will be used on an as-needed basis, and funding will be obtained from property owner.


Recommended Action:

Approval of award to EKG Enterprises, Inc., and authorize the Chief Procurement Officer to enter into an agreement and subsequent renewals with EKG Enterprises, Inc., as indicated above in the estimated annual amount of $282,000.00, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney’s Office.
