Summary:
Attached is a petition for the voluntary annexation for 6933 Curry Ford Road. The subject property is located on the north side of Curry Ford Road, east of Camellia Garden Road and west of Colton Drive and is approximately 41.9 acres. The subject site currently has the unincorporated Orange County future land use designation of Low Density Residential (LDR) and is zoned R-3.
The applicant is requesting the City’s future land use designation of Residential Low Intensity (GMP2015-00008) and associated zoning of Planned Development (ZON2015-00006). Annexation is being requested in order to develop single family residential units. The subject property is contiguous to the City limits and is reasonably compact. If annexed, the property will not create an enclave. |

The fiscal impact statement will be submitted with the ordinance for annexation, pending City Council’s acceptance of this petition for annexation.

Recommended Action:
Direct the City Attorney to prepare an annexation ordinance for consideration by City Council and authorize staff to initiate a Growth Management Plan (GMP) amendment and initial zoning for the subject property. |
