Ordinance No. 2015-5 amends the future land use designation for the western portion of a 4.8 acre parcel located north of W. Gore Street, east of Lucerne Terrace, south of Ernestine Street, and west of Kuhl Avenue (Lucerne Promenade). (Economic Development)

Summary:

The attached ordinance amends the future land use designation for the western portion of a 4.8 acre parcel located north of W. Gore Street, east of Lucerne Terrace, south of Ernestine Street, and west of Kuhl Avenue.  The future land use designation is being amended from Office Medium Intensity to Mixed Use Corridor High Intensity.

The Municipal Planning Board recommended approval of the GMP amendment on December 16, 2014.  The associated Planned Development (ZON2014-00026) zoning amendment for the entire 10.7 acre site was also approved at the December 16, 2014 Municipal Planning Board meeting but was subsequently placed on hold.

The adoption ordinance for the GMP will be scheduled for the next available City Council meeting.

Recommended Action:

Approve the attached ordinance number 2015-5 on first reading and request that the Mayor and City Clerk present the draft ordinance for second reading and public hearing at the next City Council Meeting.
