American Red Cross Month - March 2015
Summary:
The American Red Cross is one of our premier disaster response partners.  A proclamation presented to the American Red Cross gives them an opportunity to promote its services and celebrate its successes in serving communities across the U.S.  Also, we expect that the American Red Cross CEO Mrs. Karen Hagan and various ARC volunteers will be present.  A draft of the proclamation is attached.

Recommended Action:
The Mayor and City Commissioners proclaim March 2015 as American Red Cross Month.  The Mayor will call upon Manuel D. Soto, Emerg. Mgr. - Office of Emerg. Mgmt.; who will present an overview regarding American Red Cross Month and introduce Mrs. Katherine “Boo” Gonzalez of the American Red Cross.  The Mayor will read the Proclamation and present it to the ARC members present.
