Summary:
The City of Orlando received a modification of the FY 2015 grant from the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA) Program which increases the award by $87,906.00 for a total amount of $109,472.00. The previous grant award was $21,566.00 which was approved by City Council on February 9, 2015. These funds will be used to support the initiatives designed to implement the strategy proposed by the Executive Board of the Central Florida High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas. Specifically, the funds will be used for overtime, vehicle leases and equipment rental for OPD officers assigned to the DEA Heroin Task Force and the Metropolitan Bureau of Investigation. |
