FY 2015 Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grant

Summary:
A grant in the amount of $175,000.00 will be used to purchase updated equipment for the Orlando Police Department’s (OPD) Technology and Forensics Unit. The proposed equipment will enable the Technology and Forensics Unit to conduct more timely and higher quality evidence processing at its in-house laboratories.

Fiscal & Efficiency Data: Fiscal Impact Statement to be supplied upon grant award.

Recommended Action:
Approval of the Application by City Council for the FY 2015 Paul Coverdell Forensic Science Improvement Grant, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office and the Grant Development Supervisor.
