Summary:
On May 20, 2013 the City of Orlando entered into an agreement with CDM-Smith to provide Construction Engineering and Inspection services for the Church Street Streetscape, West Phase project. CDM-Smith's geotechnical engineering sub-consultant, Ardaman and Associates, is providing geotechnical and materials testing services within the project limits. Due to ongoing Citrus Bowl construction, Ardaman needs to provide additional materials testing as temporary surfaces are removed and replaced with permanent improvements on this portion of Church Street. This authorization for $34,125.00 addresses the additional testing requested by the City to assure quality construction for the West Phase of the Church Street Streetscape project. |

Fiscal & Efficiency Data:
Funding for Church Street Streetscape Project was established at BRC on February 5, 2013. Staff has generated project CIP0023_P to track expenditures for the West Phase. This change order authorization is covered under existing project funds.

Recommended Action:
Recommend approval of services authorization for additional professional services by CDM-Smith in the amount not to exceed $34,125.00. Authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to execute the authorization subject to review and approval of the Office of Legal Affairs. |
