Summary:
Earler this year, City of of Orlando was selected to receive a Cities of Service: High Impact Volunteering Grant from Bloomberg Philantropies. The $100,000 grant is to continue and expand ORLANDO CARES: Mayor Buddy Dyer's Cities of Service Program, which has positively impacted thousands of Orlando youth since March 2011. Approval of the Cities of Service Program Coordinator's contract will allow Hiba George to continue implementing ORLANDO CARES under the direction of the City's Chief Service Officer, including seeking additional corporate, federal and foundation grants to support ORLANDO CARES. This position is essential to the city meeting all requirements of the Cities of Service (Bloomberg Philanthropies') Grant and being eligible for future funding. |

Recommended Action:
Approve and authorize the Mayor/Pro-tem and City Clerk to execute the contract, subject to review and approval by the Office of Legal Affairs. |
