Ratification of the FY 2014-2015 Agreement Between the Orlando Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) for Overtime Reimbursement

Summary:
This is an Agreement between the Orlando Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) which allows OPD to participate in Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) Program Investigations or Strategic Initiatives by providing reimbursement for overtime spent on task force investigations.   The overtime amount is $5,000.00 for the period of August 11, 2014 through September 30, 2014.

Recommended Action:
Approval by City Council of the ratification of the Agreement between the Orlando Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency regarding reimbursement of overtime expenses to OPD for participation on the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney's Office and the Grants Development Supervisor.
