Petition for Voluntary Annexation: Lingo Lane Properties (ANX2014-00014)
Summary:

Attached is a petition for the voluntary annexation for Lingo Lane Properties.  The subject property is approximately 3.937 acres and is located of south of Pershing Ave and west of Lingo Lane, the three parcels are 30-23-10-3032-00-840, 30-23-10-3032-00-841 and 30-23-10-3032-00-842.  The subject site currently has the unincorporated Orange County future land use designation of Low to Medium Density Residential (LMDR) District and is zoned A-2.

The applicant is requesting the City’s future land use designation of Residential Low Intensity (GMP2014-00020) and associated zoning of R-3A/AN (ZON2014-00020).

Annexation is being requested in order to develop a residential development.  The subject property is contiguous to the City limits and is reasonably compact.  If annexed, the property will not create an enclave.
Fiscal & Efficiency Data: The fiscal impact statement will be submitted with the ordinance for annexation, pending City Council’s acceptance of this petition for annexation.
Recommended Action:
Direct the City Attorney to prepare an annexation ordinance for consideration by City Council and authorize staff to initiate a Growth Management Plan (GMP) amendment and initial zoning for the subject property.
