Summary:
The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) owns approximately 7.64 acres of surplus property located at 1200 W. South Street. The City proposes to purchase the land for the new Orlando Police Department headquarters building at the appraised value of $3,350,000. LYNX will be responsible for environmental clean-up and the City will pay for the demolition of the buildings. The closing shall be held on October 15, 2014 unless extended. |

Recommended Action:
Approval and authorization for the Mayor/Pro Tem and City Clerk to execute the contract in substantially in the form attached and the Real Estate Division Manager to execute all closing documents subject to review and approval of the City Attorney's office. |
