Summary:
The City and Mills Fifty began a pilot program to place art work on traffic signal cabinets. This project has been a success in both improving neighborhood pride and reducing the City's maintenance effort required to remove graffiti and posters from the traffic signal cabinets. Based on this success, the City has moved forward with a number of agreements to facilitate art on other signal cabinets in College Park, Audubon Park, and Downtown Orlando South.
This agreement, between the City and the project sponsor, H.J. High Construction Company, Inc., (Sponsor) will allow the installation of artwork on selected City-owned traffic signal cabinets and trash containers. The location sites are listed in the agreement as Exhibit "A" and mapped on Exhibit "B". Although not specifically addressed in the agreement, the Sponsor intends to use the Parramore Kidz Zone participants to develop and install the artwork. |
