Summary:
The Orlando Police Department has been awarded $9,000.00 from the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Office of Preparedness (ODP), from the State of Florida Homeland Security Program (SHSP), through the Florida Department of Emergency Management. These are residual funds from the FY 2013 State Homeland Security Grant Program. The funds from this grant will be used to provide equipment for the SWAT team to enhance response capabilities.
