Summary:
Families, Parks and Recreation wishes to lease a five hundred twenty-five (525) square foot space inside the Orlando Tennis Center located at 363 N. Parramore Avenue, in downtown Orlando to e-tennis, Inc for the operation of a tennis pro shop. Operator Tobias Svantesson will stock a variety of tennis rackets, strings, supplies and equipment, equipment repair, tennis related clothing and accessories, sports drinks and nutrition bars.
The term of the Lease shall be one (1) year commencing February 10, 2014 and if the parties agree, the Lease may be extended for five (5) additional renewal terms of one (1) year each. So long as the renewal terms and conditions are substantially the same as they are in this initial term, except for rent increases, the Director of Families, Parks and Recreation shall be authorized to execute the renewals without further City Council approval. Rent shall be $500.00 per month and shall increase five percent (5%) per year after the first (1st) year. Either party may terminate the Lease upon ninety (90) days prior written notice to the other.

Recommended Action:
Approval and authorization for the Mayor/Pro Tem and City Clerk to execute the Agreement, substantially in the form attached, and approval and authorization, without further City Council approval, for the Director of Families, Parks and Recreation to execute the additional renewal terms referenced herein, so long as such approvals are in conformance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement, all subject to the review and approval of the City Attorney's Office.
